GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as Principal Investigator-Architectural History for cultural resources surveys.

  • Responsible for all aspects of projects, including historic research, historic sites survey work, evaluation of historic resources' significance, and assessment of project effects.

 

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Sea Cliff Landmarks Commission, Sea Cliff, Long Island, NY, Summer 2002

    • Organized and conducted architectural survey of 19th and 20th century resort architecture.

    • Conducted historic research at Buildings Department and local library.

    • Completed Historic Resource Inventory Forms for possible use for Local, State and National Landmarking or Historic District.

  • Doo Wop Preservation League, Wildwood, NJ, Summer 2001.

    • Organized and conducted survey of 1950-60s resort architecture in Wildwood Crest, Wildwood and North Wildwood.

    • Conducted historic research of the approximately 300 structures at local historical societies and each of the three municipal building departments.

    • Utilized fieldwork and research to write a narrative description of each structure.

    • Ranked the surveyed structures based on architectural significance and integrity and prepared an overview map with the surveyed structures color-coded according to rankings.

  • Eugene Horton and Associates, Seattle, WA, 1992 - 2000.

    • Account Manager/Office Manager for Yacht Department with several hundred accounts.

    • Assisted Commercial Producer on ocean marine and commercial accounts.

    • Claim reporting and customer service. Acted as mediator between customer and insurance company.

    • Received incoming checks and paid monthly bills to insurance companies from trust account.

  • Allee, King, Rosen, Fleming Inc., New York, NY, 2000 - 2002.

    • Researched construction and architect information for historic properties affected by proposed Second Avenue Subway and Cross Harbor Tunnel projects.

    • Researched building permits at Building's Department in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Also conducted research at Municipal Archives, New York Public Library and Columbia University.
