GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct historic research pertaining
to project areas and specific historic sites.

Research previous historic sites
designation within project areas.

Prepare background histories for
cultural resources reports.
ZONING AND LAND USE LAW
-
Currently serves as Clerk for the
Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment in the Borough of Highland
Park.

Administrative Officer for review of
applications for completeness and review plans as they relate to local
zoning ordinances and state municipal land use law.
OPEN SPACE PLANNING
-
Interned with the Trust for Public
Land, working with the Middlesex Greenway Project, an effort to convert 3.5
miles of abandoned rail corridor to trail.

Attended meetings with community
groups and transportation boards and prepared first drafts of the NJDOT
application for funding through ISTEA enhancement monies.
-
Prepared concept plans for a
playground to be developed from empty lots abutting a Newark elementary
school.

Worked for three years as a landscape
designer, designing for public space and for residential properties.
